Freelance Finder
How does the concept work?
The system is designed to help businesses seeking freelance support for their marketing, digital, design, audio/video and writing projects. It’s accessed by both agencies and in-house marketing teams, allowing search by skill and years experience, combining with relevant industry experience if necessary. Employers can choose to filter results by the things that matter to them for a particular project, like focussing on people who have B2B campaign management experience in a certain sector, or specific focus on a particular agency type or even those specialising in a certain size business.
What if my work is very general / specific?
We recruit for employers of all shapes and sizes seeking people for all manner of projects. Whether you’ve majored on designing logos for smaller businesses or have loads of experience creating email campaigns for corporates you’ll be prioritised when a client searches for someone with your background. They’re encouraged to think about transferable skills and experience when searching so expect to be shortlisted by people seeking similar, if not identical industry experience to your own.
How do I price myself?
We ask you to provide an hourly rate for each skill you have so that you can charge more for some skills than others. Please indicate the rate you would normally charge clients you work with locally. The amount you charge is entirely up to you but we check to see if you’re happy to negotiate, and for what reason. This is helpful to know as it means you may still be approached for work just outside your preferred rates.
What happens if I’m shortlisted?
When a client shortlists your profile you’ll be contacted by a Creative Mettle team member who will discuss the client, location, rate and project details with you. Some of our clients request that you are able to work onsite, others are happy for remote working, some require a mix of the two. We’ll let you know what’s preferred and if necessary negotiate on your behalf. You’re 100% at liberty to decline the work for whatever reason with no penalty.
What about contracts?
Your contract of employment is with Creative Mettle. We can offer contracts for PAYE, Ltd company contractors (PSC) and Intermediary / Umbrella workers from our panel of approved onshore suppliers. Our contracts comply fully with IR35 legislation and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.
How do I get paid?
You’ll be paid weekly and a week in lieu. You’ll have a digital timesheet to complete which is signed off by the company you’re working for. Full details will be provided as you’re on-boarded.
