Software Development Team Lead

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Development Lead to work with a major local business, where you will be responsible for providing technically expert leadership and line management to the existing development team.

Our client are real leaders in their field and have grown massively over recent years, and continue to do so.

In this key role within the business, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of software to an appropriate level of quality and cost, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties will include:
– The design and build of software solutions to meet client objectives and requirements
– Take lead on sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews and retrospectives
– Set standards across the business for the exemplary delivery of software projects
– Responding quickly to stakeholders
– Ensuring the development team adhere to agreed development processes

The successful candidate for this role will be a natural leader; someone who will take ownership of team problems and drive them through to completion. You should be able to inspire confidence in both the development team and clients alike, and have an innate aptitude for problem solving.

Essential experience:
– 2+ years experience leading a team of software developers
– 5+ years software development experience
– 3+ years experience developing web applications
– PHP, MySql, Linux, Apache

Desired experience:
– .Net, Java, Agile, Scrum, Oracle
